Have you ever received a custom embroidery order and the customer supplies all the design elements for the custom project? The project is complete and you are ready to send completed order to the customer. Great! Everything is moving along and on schedule. I like to supply the customer with a picture of the finished product that will delivered. Well this one incident, the customer realized that the phone was incorrect on all 9 shirts that were embroidered. The customer is not feeling happy and questioning how did this happen? After reviewing the information that I received from the customer, we realized that the information was given by the customer. Now the customer question is what can be done to correct the problem. My suggestion to this particular custom order was to do a patch/applique and place over the incorrect phone number. Customer feeling unsure agreed to the patch/applique as the solution. Using a coordinating fabric, I created a patch to cover the phone number. The solution came out looking terrific. The patch/applique add new interest and detail to the design. It actually came out better than the original look! Sometimes great things are created from mistakes.

While sitting in the car at the local convenience store, I saw one of my customers walk passed the car and go into the convenience store. Wait! I know that sweatshirt! I immediately jumped out the car and ran into the store to see him and check out the sweatshirt. It was the one I embellished with 15 patches covering the front, back, & sleeves. I was really excited to see him wearing and enjoying the sweatshirt. I completed this project in 2020. It looks great!
